Bench 1775 is a family-owned and operated winery located at the epicenter of the renowned Naramata Bench with a passion for winegrowing and winemaking that reflects its unique terroir. This award-winning winery is seeking a Marketing Coordinator to join our team who can work approximately 25-30 hours a week with a flexible schedule. The ideal candidate will be an energetic self-starter with digital marketing knowledge who enjoys developing content for social media, writing promotional copy, coordinating email marketing campaigns, and connecting with industry influencers to promote the sale of Bench 1775 wine. This is a 1-year contract with the opportunity to move into a more permanent position.
Responsibilities:
-Social Media Marketing: manage multiple social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram & Twitter) including developing content, copywriting, media selection (images/videos, etc), posting and engaging with customers and followers. Develop content calendars, paid campaigns, and traffic-growing campaigns when necessary.
-Email Marketing: develop newsletter content including copywriting, uploading to the platform, and sending out to proper audience. Communicate with the team and the graphic designer as needed.
-Work closely with the winery office staff and sales team to collaborate on new product launches, promotions, events, wine club shipments on the website, social channels, newsletter, and releases to media when necessary.
-Manage photo and video shooting to produce proper content as needed.
-Assist with planning, creation, development, implementation, communication and tracking of marketing campaigns, sales promotions, and winery events.
-Generate marketing/sales materials including sell sheets/technical sheets, price list, tasting notes, etc.
-Write copy for all marketing collateral, for example: brochures, event posters and digital/print ads, etc.
-Responsible for production/printing and distribution of marketing materials to internal and external team.
-Work with industry media/influencers to share the Bench 1775 brand and maintain media contact lists.
-Update competition results and lists for marketing use.
-Attend marketing and winery promotion events, if necessary.
-Source promotional items for the wine shop and assist in the wine shop if needed.
-Work with Beijing team for sourcing and shipping some materials from China.
-Assist with other projects as needed.
Qualifications & Experience:
-Can communicate in a collaborative and professional manner with other members of the team.
-Strong written and verbal communication skills.
-Experience in identifying target audiences and devising creative digital campaigns that engage, inform, and motivate.
-Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking.
-Digital marketing: 2 years preferred.
-Experience with design tools like Photoshop, InDesign is an asset.
-Experience creating reels/viral video is an asset.
-Bachelor’s Degree is ideal, preferably in Communications/English, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism or Design or equivalent in a field relevant to social media marketing and/or equivalent experience.
-Flexible availability including some weekends.
-Wine/winery experience is not necessary but would be an asset.
