2023 British Columbia Lieutenant Governor’s Wine Awards

We are thrilled to announce that we have won three Gold medals and one Silver medal at the prestigious British Columbia Lieutenant Governor’s Wine Awards! Our 2021 Glow Rosé, 2020 Blanc de Blanc, 2021 Riesling won Gold medals and 2020 Gewurztraminer won a Silver medal.

Let us begin with our 2021 Glow Rosé, a wine that truly shines in its own right. The 2021 Glow has aromas of strawberry, rhubarb and cherry candy. Enjoy flavors of plum, cherry and strawberry with a dry lingering finish. Its refreshing and crisp notes have earned it the highest honor of a Gold award, making it a must-try for any wine lover.

Next up, our 2020 Blanc de Blanc has also received a Gold award, a testament to its exquisite flavor and aroma that have captured the hearts and taste buds of our judges. The wine displays classic notes of citrus, apple, pear, light bread, and nutty notes. Enjoy this wine with poutine, oysters (raw/cooked), mac’n cheese, Caesar salad, linguine with clams, fried chicken, sashimi, crab cakes and calamari. This is a versatile wine, so have fun pairing it!

And our Gold streak doesn’t stop there. Our 2021 Riesling has also received a Gold award. This is our first Kabinett (off-dry) style Riesling. The Riesling was hand picked and whole cluster pressed before being fermented in 100% stainless steel. When the wine hit 30g/L of residual sugar, the fermentation was stopped by cooling the wine down to 0 degrees, thus retaining the natural sugar of the juice and keeping the wine on the slightly sweeter side. Pair this Riesling with spicy Asian dishes, spicy Indian dishes, roast duck, turkey dinner and sweet and sour pork.

Last but certainly not least, our 2020 Gewurztraminer has been recognized with a Silver award. This wine has classic Gewürztraminer aromas of lychee, rose water, citrus, guava and cantaloupe. Medium weight, with notes of melon, citrus, lychee and a spice filled finish. Pair this wine with Laksa, Massaman curry, Chickpea curry, foie gras or duck liver patte, roast duck and squash/pumpkin soups.

Our winemaking/winegrowing team has worked tirelessly to produce these award-winning wines, and we are immensely proud of their dedication and passion for their craft.
